Plumbing Rough-in and Trim out on House Remodel

In the fall of 2009 I was contracted out to rough-in plumbing to three newly installed fixtures. I spent two days in the crawl space cutting in new lines and re-grading some existing lines. I then installed a new hose bibb, kitchen faucet, dishwasher and a vanity/sink in the powder room. I also ran a 1/4" ice maker line to the refrigerator, ran a new line and installed a pot filler (not pictured) and installed a 1/2" threaded gas line for the customer's new stove.

The kitchen faucet (HansGrohe) involved stubbing out a 2" waste line and two new domestic water lines. I then ran a drain for the dishwasher which included a new air break design (a recent change in the I.P.C. plumbing code). I vented the system with a studor vent which is located on top of the vertical drain riser. The powder room needed a new vanity, faucet and sink.
I put in some new tile in the mud room as well. I leveled the floor with the use of diamond lathe and thinset, then installed and grouted the new tile.

A room remodel completed in February 2010

The existing floor extensionwas terribly built and had to be completely re-done.

I dug down five feet and poured three footers. I then repaired the concrete, installed a new ledger board and built a properly supported and spaced floor.

Then I exposed the original brick wall which was behind a two inch thick layer of concrete. I had to chip off the concrete, wash the brick with three consecutive acid washes, then apply two layers of brick sealant. After repairing the morter, the original brick (which was layed in 1907) looked great. I also created a new window frame out of cedar.

I removed all of the old lathe and plaster walls (about 600 sq. ft.), reframed, and drywalled; applying two coats of mud creating a flawless flat finish. I installed two new interior doors then handed the job over to a subcontracted painting and flooring crew.
